PMD1: Shadow Legacy


                                                      Prologue

Thunder roared overhead, as the young Zigzagoon crouched in the hollow log.
She watched from inside her shelter, as her family was slaughtered by a shadowy figure.
She had been playing out in the forest when the storm had come, only to return home to find that a large shadowy Pikachu had attacked her family, she had hidden in the hollow log she and her sisters would often play in.
The yowls of pain from her family rang in her ears as she huddled in the log, crying.
Finally, all was silent; she crept out of the log, only to find the shadowy Pikachu looming above her.
She ran, but she didn’t get far before she was cornered by the shadowy Pikachu.
But just as it was about to attack her, a streak of tan and brown caught her eye.
Her brother, Cheetah, leapt at the shadowy Pikachu, only to get shocked by a black thunderbolt,
The black thunder that had struck Cheetah, suddenly turned to black fire, as Cheetah yowled in pain, as he was transformed into a shadowy version of himself, like the Pikachu who had attacked earlier.
Before the Zigzagoon could run, her brother, now a shadowy Linoone, turned on her, slashing at her with razor sharp claws.
She stared in horror as her brother attacked her, wincing as his sharp claws struck her.
Both crying and bleeding from the gash in her neck, she looked up to see her brother yowling as he trying to fight the urge to kill his little sister.
Not wanting to leave her brother, but knowing this was probably going to be the only chance for her to escape; she fled, taking one last glance at her brother as he tried to fight off the shadows that consumed him.
She ran, and ran; knowing that if she slowed down, the shadowy Pikachu might catch her.
She kept going till she could run no longer, finally, she collapsed under a bush, as the storm raged overhead.
